It helps me so much. Like, so much. I take the benagene for mecfs and take 1000mgs a day. I’ve noticed that it makes my energy envelope a little bit more stretchy, like I can push a little bit and be okay. I’ve been pacing religiously but it seems oxoloacetate increases the gains made from pacing, perhaps even multiplying them? It’s hard to tell, but I’m steadily improving and oxoloacetate is a big part of that.

It has helped me! I’ve taken it for over 3 months at the recommended dose. When I had tried it at a lower dosage it did nothing. I’ve been able to stop using my wheelchair. I’ve been able to visit with friends. It’s the only thing that has helped me. The cost is immense. I’m fortunate to have the resources. I’m hoping that it’s something that I tell enough docs about that it’s helping, the more research will continue and it can become accessible through at least insurance.
