  • PaleoFiber® RS features resistant starch (RS) type II from organic green banana flour and organic potato starch. RS resists digestion in the upper GI tract, allowing it to reach the colon where it's fermented.
  • The fermentation of resistant starch in PaleoFiber® RS produces short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) like butyrate, which nourish both beneficial gut microbes and the cells lining the colon (enterocytes).
  • Arabinogalactan, another component of PaleoFiber® RS, is a prebiotic fiber sourced from larch trees that can further support a healthy gut microbiome.
  • The resistant starch in PaleoFiber® RS may also contribute to healthy blood sugar and insulin metabolism by slowing glucose absorption.
  • Supports a balanced gut microbiome
  • Promotes healthy intestinal permeability
  • Maintains intestinal integrity
  • Supports healthy blood sugar metabolism
  • Promotes normal appetite
  • Supports cardiovascular health

Total Carbohydrate, Dietary Fiber, Potassium, Proprietary Resistant Starch/Fiber Blend (Organic Green Banana Flour (as NuBana™), Organic Potato Starch Powder, Creafibe Cellulose, Arabinogalactan Powder (as ImmunEnhancer®) (Larix laricina)(larch tree) [containing 4 g total resistant starch])

Take 10 grams (approximately one scoop) per day or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Best if mixed into liquid using a blender or shaker bottle. Can also be mixed into food such as yogurt or gluten-free cereal. Due to the nature of resistant starch, consider starting with a smaller dose and titrating up to a full serving, depending on your tolerance.

  • Resistant Starch and Gut Microbiota

Research indicates that resistant starch consumption can significantly alter the composition and function of the gut microbiota, promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria.

  • Arabinogalactan and Immune Function

Studies suggest that arabinogalactan may enhance immune function by stimulating the activity of immune cells and promoting the production of cytokines.
