It is suggested to test first thing in the morning, then take Designs for Health’s Vascanox HP®. Test again one to two hours later to confirm nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability for a comprehensive NO support program. One may also consider using Design for Health’s NOx Synergy™, which contains the amino acid precursors for nitric oxide production.* NUMBER OF TIMES PER DAY: At least twice a day (once first thing in the morning and another test one to two hours after nitrate-containing supplement or meal). Can be used multiple times a day for hourly or daily monitoring. TIME OF DAY: First thing in the morning, and then one to two hours after nitrate-containing supplement or meal.
Dietary Nitrate and Nitric Oxide
Research indicates that dietary nitrate, found in foods like beets and leafy greens, can be converted to nitric oxide in the body, supporting cardiovascular function and exercise performance.
Oral Microbiome and Nitric Oxide Production
Studies suggest that the oral microbiome plays a crucial role in the conversion of nitrate to nitrite, a precursor to nitric oxide, highlighting the importance of oral health in NO production.
