Study #1: Midodrine Effectively Relieves Orthostatic Hypotension Symptoms
A study conducted across 25 centers with 171 patients assessed the efficacy of 10 mg of midodrine taken three times daily for neurogenic orthostatic hypotension. This randomized, placebo-controlled trial showed significant improvements in standing systolic blood pressure and lightheadedness. Main adverse effects included pilomotor reactions, urinary retention, and supine hypertension.
